Sustainability
At Braehead Foods, we are committed to making a positive impact on our environment and communities by embracing sustainable practices.
We’ve taken proactive steps to minimise our environmental impact and promote a more sustainable future. By choosing suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, to waste management and electric vehicles, we are dedicated to making choices that make a difference. We also believe in giving back to the communities that support us and actively collaborate with local food banks and organisations to donate surplus food, ensuring that no food goes to waste.
Every small step towards sustainability is a giant leap for our planet's future.
Sustainable Recruitment
We have a sustainable
procurement policy in place to
ensure we collaborate with
other like-minded suppliers.
Waste Management
Monthly KPls in place for monitoring and reducing food wastage.
Routing System
We use a vehicle routing system for all logistics to minimise the number of miles driven to fulfil customer deliveries.
Electric Cars
All new company cars are being replaced with electric models.
LED Lighting
Lighting in our factory has been replaced with LED lights. This uses 90% less energy, improves efficiency and has reduced C02 emissions by 11.5 tones per year
Conserving Resources
Partnered with 'Too Good To Go' and local foodbanks to ensure minimal products go in the bin.
Plant Based
Widened our plant based portfolio by working with suppliers such as Stroodles, Redefine Meat, Heura, Field and Forest to promote the benefits of switching to meat free alternatives.
